Both Bernini's David and Michelangelo's David depict the biblical hero in a moment of intense concentration before his battle with Goliath. However, there are significant differences in their portrayal. Michelangelo's David is a classical representation of a youthful and idealized figure, standing in a contrapposto pose with a calm expression. In contrast, Bernini's David is depicted in a dynamic and dramatic pose, capturing the moment just before he hurls the stone at Goliath. The intense emotion and movement in Bernini's sculpture make it a more theatrical and dynamic portrayal compared to Michelangelo's more serene and classical interpretation. **
