A coil designed for AC typically has a higher resistance compared to one designed for DC. This is because AC current alternates direction, causing the coil to experience more resistance and heat up. Additionally, AC coils are often designed with a higher inductance value to account for the changing current direction. On the other hand, DC coils have lower resistance and inductance values since the current flows in one direction, resulting in less heat generation. **
