While social housing promotion is important for addressing housing inequality, it is not the same as the physical provision of social housing units. **

Without further information or context, it is difficult to determine if the thermostat is broken. Common signs of a broken thermostat include the heating or cooling system not turning on or off at the desired temperature, inconsistent temperatures throughout the home, or the thermostat display not functioning properly. It is recommended to check for these signs and consider consulting a professional if necessary. **

The government model of heating on the thermostat works by setting a specific temperature that the government believes is optimal for energy efficiency and cost savings. This temperature is typically lower than what individuals might choose for themselves. The thermostat is then locked or controlled remotely to prevent users from adjusting it above the government-set temperature. This model aims to reduce overall energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by promoting more moderate heating levels in homes and buildings. **
